Mitsubishi WD-82738 82" 3D Home Cinema TV 4.9 5 78 78
This product has the best picture ever. We ove the tv, it has an awesome picture. My husband is 74 retired and knows nothing about electronics, so i usualoy make that decision. I work 50-60 hours a week and am 62 so to be honest i have not had time to go through all the features, like setting up the 3 D, looking into how to do the internet, and other features. I have just downloaded the full manual and hope to look at it this weekend. My grandkids are here so the oldest is 13 and i am sure he will be able to help. It is just a matter of finding the time. So far we are extremely happy and this is not my first Mitsubishi i absouteoy love the brand. March 19, 2011
Make your friends jealous I love my 82" 3D TV. I've had it for just over a year and I still get comments when ppl see it. The picture is crisp and super clear. I love the 3D but wish the picture wasn't quite so dark when watching in 3D. Call of Duty is just awesome to play on this thing too. It's also nice that it can be hooked up to the internet and downloads upgrades automatically. January 22, 2012
Best big screen for movies and 3D in the home. We replaced our 65" Mitsubishi last year after 8 years of great performance, picture and sound. I wanted the 3D and a big screen. The DLP delivers a picture superior to plasma and LCD when it comes to big movies. The clarity and color sold me when looking in the store at all the competition. I listened to other shoppers commenting on the theater quality but wanting to hang the set on the wall usually over a fire place. My viewing room has lots of west facing windows and no fire place. I had to compromise with my wife on size though. The 73" filled the spot of the old 65" without reconfiguring cabinetry, etc. We view the set from about 8' to 10'. The 3D performance is incredible. The last Harry Potter in 3D shows off the incredible depth of picture not just the popping out of the picture effect of 3D. And with all big screens the dark areas of the picture can be a problem for detail. Not here! Shadows are nearly as good as in theaters. The ambient light can be a reflection problem with the screen. But compared to glass plasma screens and the LCD plastic the DLP is superior. Sound on most DLP's and other big screens is not very good. That's why most of us use our multiuse audio systems to produce the multichannel sound. BUY DLP! It's the best for home theater. December 19, 2011
Amazing HD Television I purchased the Mitsubishi WD-82738 HD DLP in June of 2011. I could not believe the size of this tv. It could barely fit in the door of my apt. Once i got everything up and running, it was just a incredible experience. I really felt like i was in the movie theater. Watching blu-ray is incredible, so sharp and clear. You definately need to watch tv programming in HD. The SD to me is horrible, i don't see where the upconverting SD to 1080p works all that well. I have an older Sony surround sound hooked up to it. You need that to complete the theater experience. The tv speakers does not do it justice. I love the Stream Internet, it opens up another world with this tv. The 3D is also great. Keep in mind you still need the emitter, the adapter is built inside. If you use DLP Link. No emitter is needed, just the glasses. I already own the WD-60737. I think Mitsubishi makes quality products, also with a affordable price for these sizes. I am really enjoying these incredible HD televisions. August 22, 2011
